How would you describe the culture at RAC? The culture is respectful, fast paced and iterative. Everyone is an A player and great to work with.

Tres Leches? Que?Â

What’s your “this or that” question? Sober Grocery Store Manager or Stemmed out Lawyer

If you were a building material...what would you be? Red Clay Brick Why? It can stand the test of time and is modular.

What is your favorite completed RAC project? 3520 Schaefer because I appreciate the exposed rawness of the interior which seems to be an RAC ethos, inclusive of the corrugated metal and graffiti still being left intact and an intentional decision to not have it removed or covered up, the careful consideration of the introduction of natural light via steel framed glass, masonry, wood and concrete materials, lack of ‘finished’ materials with austere interiors and the quality of the large open space. In a modern ubiquitous incubator of conditioned mechanized air, electrical artificial light and millions of square of sheet rock interior prison-like partition walls, it is more refreshing to see a building and its spaces open up to the full possibility of what it can be or even could be if we thought of spaces in this manner….restrooms, private areas aside.
