| Today we leave Bled and our next stop is the Skocjan Caves. We head north from Bled into the mountains and then work our way south. It's a long drive with little to no Plecnik :( , but we'll survive. We stop in Kobarid and visit a World War I museum. We take a detour, off our route to the Caves, to see a Plecnik church in Ponikva which wasn't there. The guide book was unfortunately mismarked. There are two Ponikva's in Slovenia and they showed the church in the wrong town! We then stop in Stanjei and visit the castle and the medieval town there. We realize that it's too late to visit the caves today so we head for Postonja where we spend the night with a plan to see the caves in the morning. | |||
