| Our first morning in Bled we row out on the lake to a little island with an old church. In the afternoon we go for a drive in search of more Plecnik work (what else would we be doing?). We travel southeast to Kranj and stop in the town of Begunje to see a ' temple ' listed in one of our Plecnik guides. Unfortunately, only our Ljubljana guide was in English, so anything in this guide we cannot read. I can't decipher the name of this work but I find the word temple so I'll call it that. We had a little trouble finding this building, but finally someone tells us it is beyond the hospital and that we must park at the hospital and walk about 10 minutes to the building. As it turns out the hospital is a psychiatric hospital and they were having a little get together next to the parking area. We finally make it to the building which you can see at the bottom of the page. | |||
